Photo Exhibition entitled “Vibration”

Luminous Eye is hosting Eleni Paridi’s Photo Exhibition entitled “Vibration”.
An interactive experience between photographs, musical sequences and the personal gaze of each viewer.

Photography, as the Japanese dramatist Chikamatsu Monzaemon said, lies on the fine line between the real and the imaginary, the real and the virtual. So it helps us to “see” what we allow to be hidden from us.

On the occasion of discussing the concept of limitation, Eleni Paridi attempts a redefinition of the relationship with space and time, focusing on the unlimited dimensions of the inward-looking gaze. The result of this process is transferred onto a set of 42 photographs that capture views of the surfaces and interiors of Quartz rocks.

The Photos of “Vibration” “narrate” something different to each viewer, inviting them to participate in an active way. A new information item as well as a sense of freedom is transmitted interactively as the viewer projects onto the given image something from their personal inner landscape, thus re-discovering it.

The experience of “Vibration” is completed with a series of musical sequences proposed by Eleni Paridi to accompany the photos of the exhibition. Konstantia Gourzi’s music, the cello of Anja Lechner and the aesthetics of ECM Records give the whole concept another dimension. The synesthesia that is created provides spectator – listener with an enriched experience by allowing them access to the mysterious places depicted by the photographs in an absolutely transcendental way.

At the opening of the exhibition, on Friday, October 8th, at 08:00 pm, Haris Lambrakis brings “Vibration” to life with his ney and his invaluable musical presence.

On Saturday, October 9th, at 08:00 pm, the captivating Anja Lechner improvises with her cello. She leaves her unique, musical imprint and her own “Vibration” as a lyrical echo to the atmosphere of the Exhibition.

The Exhibition was curated by Evi Karagiannidi.
