My Song

On Saturday, September 26, from 11:00 to 23:00, Luminous Eye invites you to the opening of the group photo exhibition entitled “My Song”. The exhibition will last until late November and is opened Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 17:00 until 20:00.

A film should be more like music than literature.
It must be a progressive development of moods and feelings. The theme, which lies behind the feeling, the meaning, it all comes later, used to say Stanley Kubrick when referring to the structure of a film.

The truth is that music begins where words and symbols become enclosed coded meanings and, therefore, unable to penetrate the core of things. With the least amount of information, music can bring to life dead feelings, but it can, also, offer emotion, which is the necessary condition for creative action.

As the title suggests, music was indirectly the inspiration for the structure of this photographic project. Without any trace of musical activity but with that beneficial abstraction of music, every photographer discovers a place, which becomes the center of his interest. He has no intention to explain or elucidate its potentially complex nature but only to find himself in an organic agreement with him.
His way is impulsive like the production’s process of his work and, through the constant repetition, he delimits the structure which is necessary to compose his own song. A song with particular characteristics and frequencies, which is the reflection of its inner reality.
