In the central market of Athens, the place where hundreds of people, every single day visit to do their household shopping, that’s where I discovered the ideal location to realise a project that had been in my mind; street portraits.
The exit gallery from the inside of the building served as a natural studio, providing me with the opportunity to take advantage of the natural light entering it, the shaded background and the people’s glances, those inner glances, and the glimpses that were offered to me as they passed by.
I have stood at that point many hours taking shots of…faces? Masks? Characters? Whatever it is, I find it exciting.
The project is in progress.
